I am the managing partner of a private family investment partnership.
I also currently serve as the co-chair of the Georgia Venture Capital Coalition. The GVCC has introduced legislation in 2013 to increase access to capital in the State of Georgia. House Bill 318 was introduced and passed on March 25 during the 2013 Georgia General Assembly Legislative Session to further this cause.
In addition, I have a background in angel investing. I helped build the Atlanta Technology Angels as Managing Director from 2002-2009, served on the ATA BOD from 2002-2012, increased the membership from 20 members to 60 members, co-wrote and introduced the current Georgia Angel Tax Credit legislation in 2010 and oversaw over 50 investments in Georgia companies during my role at ATA. I am a former BOD member of the Angel Capital Association (2007-2010) and currently serve on the Board of Visitors at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
